Clinic Based Services
Advantage provides outpatient mental health services including intakes for adults in the listed locations below. Children and adolescents and individuals with substance use issues may also be seen at all these clinics. Those services are described in more detail under their respective program description at a different location. For adults, group counseling and short-term individual therapy along with psychiatric services are offered to support the recovery process of our clients and enhance their ability to participate fully and successfully in their personal and professional lives. Groups that may be offered include depression, bipolar, anxiety, dual diagnosis, trauma, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), DBT Process Group, and anger management among others.
Clinics operate with a Clinic Manager who is responsible for the oversight of the clinic. Operations staff provide support to include scheduling, receiving and billing clients, assisting with non-clinical documentation needs, and supporting clinical staff activities. Business Managers work in concert with clinical staff to make clinical consultation available as needed.
After hours, individuals may call Advantage’s crisis walk-in center or the Georgia Crisis and Access Line (GCAL) at 1-800-715-4225 which is operated through Behavioral Health Link (BHL). GCAL is available to all individuals in the state of Georgia, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. During the call, an assessment will be made as to whether the caller needs emergency intervention or can be directed to a clinic during regular operating hours.
