There Is No Wrong Way to Access Services at Advantage

Who should I call if I am experiencing a crisis?

Can you help me get ready for my new job?

Will my insurance cover the cost of my care?

What can I expect at my first therapy session?

A Message from Tamara L. Conlin, LCSW, CEO, Advantage Behavioral Health Systems

I am honored to serve as the CEO of Advantage Behavioral Health Systems. We serve uninsured and under insured individuals with a Severe Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI), substance use disorder (SUD) or Intellectual Developmental Disability (IDD) so that they can live their best life. We are the safety-net provider for North East Georgia serving 10 counties — Clarke, Barrow, Elbert, Greene, Jackson, Madison, Morgan, Oconee Oglethorpe, and Walton County.

We are committed to the people and communities we serve. Our highly skilled, compassionate, and caring staff always strive to do better in providing quality person-centered treatment and recovery support to the people, families, and communities we serve. In 2020 we applied for and were awarded a grant to shift to a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model of care, which we are in the process of implementing. The shift to CCBHC is one more step in our ongoing commitment to ensuring that the people we serve have better access to coordinated comprehensive behavioral health care and physical health care.

Advantage is one of 22 Community Service Boards (CSB) in the State of Georgia. CSBs were created by state statute in 1993 to provide behavioral health services in Georgia. We are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
