Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Service Centers

Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Service CentersThere are seven Developmental Disabilities Service Centers within the Advantage ten-county catchment area. These centers offer community integration. Family support services include respite care, training, medical supply and services.
Family Support & Respite – Individuals with developmental disabilities who reside in their natural homes may receive assistance with purchasing specialized medical supplies, equipment, environmental modifications, vehicle adaptation, and other services as determined by client and family need. Individuals may receive respite services on a planned and/or emergency basis.
ABA Autism Services – These services provide in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy to individuals 0-21 years diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) focus on changing observable and measureable behavior families would like to create, increase, and/or decrease. Many of the goals focus on communication skills, social skills, and adaptive living skills (e.g., hygiene). Our mission is to increase each individual’s independence by providing evidence-based positive behavior supports throughout the home and community environment. Parents and caregivers participate in weekly parent education and support sessions to ensure a holistic approach. These sessions provide the necessary tools to continue the progress of positive behavior change of their child with ASD outside of scheduled sessions.
