Advantage Behavioral Health Systems has many opportunities for all types of volunteers, with various levels of education and experience, including:
- Advocates for individuals with disabilities
We need caring, compassionate volunteers with at least one of the following skills: - Experience working with adults or children in some capacity
- Experience with organizational tasks, such as light clerical work (answering phones, organizing paperwork)
Currently needed:At the Mental Health Clinics, a volunteer who is interested in office support opportunities can - Greet clients as they come in and help them get checked in.
- Monitor the larger lobbies for clients who have been waiting a long time.
- Help people fill out surveys and other paperwork.
- Complete daily billing audits, file, complete various data entry tasks
Volunteers are welcomed from 9-5 every day
At the Homeless Day Service Center volunteers can: - Complete basic intake and screening.
- Provide supervised case management.
- Make referrals for medical, shelter, food and clothing
- Provide supervision of client shower and laundry facilities.
- Answer the phone, file, complete monthly/yearly reporting activities and miscellaneous office duties.
Volunteers are welcomed at all times between 8:30-5:00, Monday-Friday A commitment of at least 8 weeks is required.
At the Women's Recovery Residence volunteers can - Hold the babies when the mothers are in the Nurturing Parenting Groups
- Watch the children when their mothers are away attending AA/NA meetings or cooking meals.
Volunteers are needed between the hours of 4-8pm daily |
